If your organisation is non-compliant due to poor governance, we can look at your situation and provide options on what you will need to do to become compliant.
We will, if possible, try to support you through each step of the process.
If your trustees, directors, or management committee are struggling in their duties or have a lack of knowledge of what they should be doing, we can provide guidance and resources as required to get your organisation back to where it needs to be.
If your organisation finds itself in a situation where it is running out, or has run out of money, we can help by providing options on possible funding streams for you to apply to for future projects. Please note it is unlikely that funders will pay for bills or debts already accrued.
We can however provide guidance on fundraising ideas to help pay for any existing bills and debts.
CVG will not be able to provide any funding to help support your organisation.
If your organisation finds itself in a situation where there is evidence of financial mismanagement, we will be able to provide options on the best course of action or signpost you to where to get further help or advice.
If embezzlement is involved, then this is a criminal matter and should be passed to Police Scotland.
If your organisation is a charity or SCIO, all cases of financial mismanagement need to be reported to OSCR
Unfortunately, sometimes people within organisations don't see eye to eye, which can lead to conflict and cause considerable unpleasantness and disruption to the organisation.
We can provide guidance on options to try to find common ground and resolve the conflict, but we do not offer a mediation service.
Sometimes, a community group can find itself in conflict with members of the community that it serves. This can be for a number of reasons. We can help by providing guidance on how to resolve the situation or signpost you to other agencies that can assist further.
If your organisation finds itself in a position where it is near total collapse due to a single or a multitude of issues, we will look at the situation in detail and then provide you with available options dependent on the situation at hand.
We can provide basic information regarding employment and HR related issues, but will most likely signpost towards ACAS for anything more complicated or serious.
