Celebration Youth Volunteering at Saltire Presentation

This is a screenshot of the Highland Third Sector Staff responsible for the delivery of the Saltire Awards, throughout the Highlands, taken at the recent Annual Saltire Summit Award Digital presentation ceremony.

Celebrating Youth Volunteering in the Highlands Caithness Voluntary Group are the official local point of contact for young people in Caithness regarding the Saltire Awards.  We have decades of experience supporting young volunteers, helping with volunteering opportunities and liaising with organisations throughout Caithness. Recently the Highland Third Sector Interface [CVG is a partner member] held an annual digital presentation ceremony.  Guest speaker at the event was Kate Forbes the finance secretary for the Scottish National Party.  She was delighted to highlight the wonderful work being carried out by Highland volunteers.  Eight Young recipients were presented with the Saltire Summit Award for outstanding contribution to volunteering.  A Highland panel of young Saltire Ambassadors made the difficult decision regarding the successful candidates from the nomination forms submitted. We are appealing to organisations to support young people to volunteer and to come forward with nominations next year. We all know the fantastic work taking place so please encourage young people to gain the recognition they deserve by registering for a Saltire Summit award.  To find out more contact Catherine volunteering@cvg.org.uk or go to the website http://www.saltireawards.scot http://www.saltireawards.scot
